Plant Morphology: Expect apical dominant growth, with up to 1.5x stretch in flower. Medium internodal spacing allows for good airflow. This pheno has mostly green leaves and buds, with some purpling of the leaves and buds later in flower. Expect extreme frosty sugar to cover the impressively-sized buds with a high calyx to leaf ratio.
Terpenes: Expect grape candy terps with pine and pepper undertones. Caryophyllene, limonene, and pinene are dominant.
Effect: A strong but well-rounded daytime high that can become more sedative with excessive use.
Notes from the Grower(s): Platinum Mimosa has insane sugar and quality across the board. The Dirty Mimosa ‘White Cap Cut’ shines through in the appearance of this strain, with buds covered with fuzzy white blankets of sugar. The Platinum Kush Breath Remix (In House Genetics) helps to reign in the mind-racing, stimulant effects of the Dirty Mimosa to make for a very comfortable and full-bodied high.
This was a rewarding strain to grow. The quality was very good, and we think the high trichome content makes Platinum Mimosa a great contender for extracts. The smell and flavor are like sweet, piquant candy, and the smoke expands your lungs like an ultimate test of respiratory strength. With both of these strains proving their worth in the outdoor gardens of Maine, we have high (get it?) hopes for Platinum Mimosa this sun-grown season.
