Terpenes: Creamy spicy gas cheese, with pine and citrus notes. Myrcene and limonene are dominant, followed by pinene, caryophyllene, and linalool. Very high testing for terps – over 3% total!
Effects: Physically and mentally relaxing, Cold Queso strips away the stress of the day with a few smooth tokes. This don’t-worry-be-happy strain will take away any sense of urgency you may have previously had. 1%+ CBG
Plant Morphology: Expect tight internodal spacing and thick sturdy stalks. More lateral than vertical growth makes this a good contender for SCROG method. Topping only once or twice will give you a great canopy to work with. Defoliation is definitely recommended lower in the plant when training and during bloom. Large rounded golf ball shaped buds develop quickly. While the plant stays mostly green, fan leaves and buds will take on some purple hues around week 7. Extremely trichome-rich.
Notes from the Growers: Cold Queso, aka That Damn Skunch!, is an impressive additional to the Dirty Bird roster. We were happy to find a strain (Dam-a-lam) that could rein in the apical dominance of Skunch while still complementing her terps and high. The influence of Dolato added a layer of creaminess which really helped to create cheesy gas notes on top of the citrus skunk of the Skunch. By far the highest terps of any strain we’ve tested so far.
We really love a lot about this strain. Beautiful fat buds – great yield in a small space – sugar leaves so covered in trichomes that it looks like white Velcro – more terpenes than a perfume factory. The high from Cold Queso is top notch too, slapping that sour look off of your face so you can finally enjoy your day.
